Books to Understand Korean Culture Better
We’re passionate about bringing the rich and diverse world of Korea to readers around the globe.
Our mission is to bridge cultures through the power of stories, offering the finest books with a focus on Korea that captivate, entertain, and educate.
Hi, I’m Minjung!
I was born and raised in Changwon,
a small Korean town of one million people.
I grew up being ranked by height and IQ in elementary school, studied until midnight for Suneung, our eight-hour version of the SAT, and gorged on tteokbokki in between.
As an adult, I attended my share of Membership Training, casual-to-official overnight retreats featuring binge drinking sessions during university, and worked nights and weekends in Seoul.
I have a brother who served in the army, and family all over the country.
I’ve been slow traveling around the world and sharing the fascinating side of Korea. While slow traveling to 50 countries, my love for all things Korean grew.
When looking for books about Korean culture, I realized there was nothing about day-to-day experiences written by a Korean-Korean.
So I wanted to offer a glimpse into authentic Korean life, blending personal anecdotes with cultural insights to paint a vivid picture of the customs and quirks that make Korea special.
Thanks for joining on our journey through Korean culture, one story at a time.
